Since Last Time

I haven't posted in a while mainly since I always feel too lazy to write out my FR's. (My bad) I recently graduated college and moved to a new city (Salt Lake City), so it's been interesting. I've gotten more numbers than I ever did back home priority shift? so I'm happy about that at least.

Wednesday Night

I went out at about 10pm. I wanted to hit up a club that I haven't been to in a while, so I figured let's do it. I drove by the club but I saw about 6 cars in the parking lot, so I figured it was a flop. I said screw it and drove the 10 more minutes to downtown. I decided to hit up another bar/club that I only vaguely remember. The last time I went there, I had pulled two chicks from another bar (HB7 & HB8). They bought me too many free shots, so my time there was a bit of a blur.

I showed up to the bar/club and there was about 15 people inside. This bar has four levels but only the first was open due to the lack of numbers and day of the week, I assume. There were several sets but I never really felt like opening them.

Eventually the music started up (DJ + 2 drummers) and it was pretty rocking. Lots of hot women were hitting the dance floor, but I didn't man up and approach them. They were a pretty large group of guys and girls. Should I have approached? Yes... Damn I eventually chatted up a chill guy who was lounging next to me at the bar. We talked (he recently moved to the US from Zambia) and BS'd a bit. It was entertaining to say the least. After enough music, I said fuck it and hit the dance floor.

I'm a big fan of the dance floor as long as I just get out there and dance. Dancing is never the problem. I need to work on approaching girls on and around the dance floor still. I guess I'll work on it. I was eyeing a 3-set that were near the dance floor but only a couple caught my eye. I should've approached on the sake of the practice, but I didn't. Fuck Oh well, I had a great time dancing until close (1am in UT... weak shit).

Overall: I had fun. Worth it.

What I Learned

  • I need to still learn what's busy on Wednesday nights. I have everyother Wednesday off, so I need to find what works for going out on Wednesdays. Maybe something besides bars/clubs?

  • Approach more. Once I get talking, I'm gold. I tell myself "I won't see the same people next time I go out" and I know it's true. I just need to take this to heart. FFS...

  • Always go for the fun. Did I get the girl? No, not even close. Did I have fun? Hell yeah.
