So I'm browsing OkCupid and I come upon a profile which seems to get to the point. Risque pictures (underwear and all in a few), the casual sex box clicked off, and most importantly cute. Chubby/thick, but I'm kind into that so thats actually a plus in my book. Anyhow, I'm totally blindsided with this HB10-esque message I receive in response to my initial bullshit inquiry:

"Thank you. I don't mind honesty or bluntness. I should also let you know that I don't mind casual at all. But, I'm not interested in messing around with just anyone. I take my time. And I'm pretty high maintenance. If you're looking for a quick & easy fuck, I'm not your girl. Otherwise, we might get along."

I mean, if you've got pics of your ass in panties on your page, saying that you're not looking for a quick and easy fuck is a bit of a bait and switch. Anyhow, I in turn horribly bungle things by sending this: (and letting her confirm in her mind that she's doing me some sort of favor by talking to me...)

"Cool, I hope we can find common ground then. I'll let you define what you mean by high maintenance, but I suppose you mean to say that you have standards. I feel the same way. The reasons you should want to meet up with me are the same reasons that I should be respected. Time, energy, and the whole 9. I'm willing to put in the time necessary to earn my way into your life, just as long as I'm treated with the same respect. Long as we're all square, we might just end up getting along after all."

to which she responds with a quick little :

"Well I cant argue. I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. So theres our first little bit of common ground."

So, I've probably already bungled this one and am not sure I'm really interested in dealing with a girl who is quite so bold to describe herself as high-maintenance, but if I could start over, how should I have gone about this. More importantly, how do I go about it the next time I get a girl who is seemingly willing to jump right into things but verbally resists and starts bullshitting.
