Very short update: she flaked. We had texted back & forth a few times and exchange pictures (at her request). Last communication was Monday, when she said she was stressed because her sister had to go to the hospital, apparently because of depression.

I pinged her Wednesday morning to confirm our original date and try get her interested in something besides dinner ("We can still do dinner, but I have an idea for something a bit out of the ordinary..")

No response. Around noon I just sent "YT?" Nothing.

Based on that, I'm guessing that she 1) was not trying to play me but 2) her sister's crisis is getting all her attention or 3) something else like a new guy or an old boyfriend re-emerging.

I may ping her again in a few weeks, but my frame now is...
