I'm gonna sound like an intelectual snob when I say this, but I'm not. I browse seddit quite a bit and like reading field reports and online PUA literature. I really like reddit and seddit as communities because they seem to be more similar to the type of person that I am. The problem is I feel that most of the lines/conversation suggestions/gambit seem like unintelligent dialogue.
It's hard to explain what I mean by this, but I'll give it a shot: it's like what I imagine the dumb alpha-male would say when he's hitting on an absolute babe in a film but you would never see that type of dialogue in action in real life because I don't believe that people think like that and talk to each other that way. I think a major aspect of this is that alot of PUA stuff comes from the US when I am from the UK. Without wanting to sound like an asshole, there's almost this social culture over there, and this type of empty conversation is pretty common. I feel that what I've come across so far shows confidence to be able to say the thing you are saying and little intellectual content. I feel that, even though I am self-conscious, repeating some of the dialogue that I read would be the most potentially embarrassing thing about trying to pick up a girl. I guess I would just feel really cringey going up to a girl and starting a conversation like the ones I read about all the time. It's something that really bugs me about pickup and it's something that would make me even more hesitant about committing to a project like this.
Does anybody else that reads seddit feel this way? As I said, this is pretty hard to explain.... I guess it's just an issue with talking points.. would love to know what you guys think.
