See, I'm in a situation where I went out casually with someone several times. The problem is I can't tell tell if the person is interested or not, it seems vague.

What I'd usually do is assume attraction and go for it, but I am going to be around this person for a while, so if I fail it will be awkward for both of us. I don't want to stick my neck out there because of the environment of where I met this person.

What I want to know is if there is anyway specific way to phrase "Do you like me/are you interested in me" to not sound so needy and put pressure on the girl.

What can I say to get an answer or maybe a hint on what the situation between both of us is because right now I can't tell?

This seems to always happen to me.
