In my last thread about talking to everyone and making that normal for yourself, a debate spawned about introversion and extroversion. And it kinda irritated me. When you look up the definition of introversion vs extroversion, extroversion is described as "the act, state, or habit of being predominantly concerned with and obtaining gratification from what is outside the self", while introversion is described as "the state of or tendency toward being wholly or predominantly concerned with and interested in one's own mental life".
When you really think about it, both of these are not very good ways to live. These are neither mutually exclusive, nor collectively exhaustive. You do not need to be either one of these. But if we look at the more common definition for introverts and extroverts, introverts preferring to not have big circles of friends and needing to be alone sometimes, while extroverts just want to be in social situations all the time, something more interesting emerges. Someone in that thread was claiming there were physiological differences between the two, or that you cannot cross the barrier from one to another. I thoroughly disagree with this, and I think that crossing the barrier from introvert to extrovert is a huge part of game and seduction. Most people that come into this are introverts, and they must undergo a fundamental change in who they are through conditioning and a transformation of mindset to learn to love being sociable.
Read any success story in this subreddit. Read the success stories of all the mPUA's and whatnot. Here is a quote from on of the links on the sidebar: "I suffered from extreme AA the entire first year I was sarging, and it took this epiphany for me to finally break out and get Anti-Approach Anxiety. Nowadays I get worried that if I DON'T approach a hot girl, some other PUA is gonna be nailing her to the kitchen counter on Valentine's Day- ain't gonna happen, guys!"
It may be centered around approach anxiety, but you get that feeling of a change in mindset, a change in how this man views pickup. He now wants to approach women, instead of having it be a chore. He underwent a metamorphosis from introversion to extroversion. I'm gonna guess that if you are stuck on that belief that an introvert is an introvert and an extrovert is an extrovert and that you are an introvert for life, you probably have introverted friends and try to pickup introverted girls and whatever else. If that's how you want to live, then fine. If you want to never step out of your comfort zone and never want to have your reality and belief system fucked with, then fine. But if you want to see a true change in what you can do and your skillset then get ready for a whole lot of discomfort.
It is a long, excruciating process. You have to change how you view the world. You have to acquire new friends because you will start to share less and less commonalities with your old friends that are holding you down. But it is well worth it. (not saying you have to lose your old friends either, just be aware of this.) True game is about owning social situations at all times. Never stepping out of that "social personality". How many people feel like they have to slip into some kind of more sociable skin when they go out? Learn to never take that off, then you are approaching true extroversion and becoming a natural. Everything about pickup is living on the edge of your comfort zone, and what do you think introversion and extroversion are? By definition they are a preference, what a person is comfortable with. So change what the fuck you are comfortable with.
Now go out and talk to people my fellow Cassanovae.
