I posted this last night very inebriated so I figured I'd clean it up a little and see what you guys have to say. The following takes place at a house party I hosted last night:

In summation: Chose my girl (HB 7, a new friend of my sister's friend who goes to my college) before the night began, shot some smiles early on then purposely set up situations where I opened her (male) friend and then where we were one on one while her friend played flip cup with mostly everyone else in the room. Talked a bit, introduced outselves and what not, then after putting some music on set up a good amount of kino without it being awkward (first time it was comfortable for me) and then number closed at her suggestion (after re-reading this I realized I should have ended the game right here for the night, but maybe not) and solidified the attraction (I felt like at that point) with a winning game of beer pong where she was going for a hug after every other hit shot (but not receiving them) followed by some negging where she was putting her arms around me and obviously trying to get my attention while I continued talking to an acquaintance of ours and played a round of flip cup. Fast forward we are one on one, her male friend leaves us alone in my living room while everyone goes downstairs to smoke and I ask if she's texting her boyfriend (because I actively try not to make a girl cheat after it's happened to me in the past) and she says yes. She was hiding her phone whenever she was texting so I basically dig a little to see what my chances are and end up telling her about my "sister" who was in a similar situation previously. In short she tells me she loves him but that being long distance is really hard. I replied that long distance is a sucky thing but that I thought she was cute so I may be biased. Overkill. Quickly tried to move on to a new topic and we played one on one beer pong. She won and I played it like I let her. After that we were about to find two people to play us but her friends were leaving and I heard someone knocking on my backdoor to come get their things so I just told her I'd see her later and let her disappear. She was supposed to visit her boyfriend this weekend but he told her not to and supposedly he's going to come next weekend but if he doesn't it could be a chance to go for the kill. All in all a decent learning experience. Kino is not something to fear as I previously thought, but I do have to learn when to call it and move on. I have a bad habit of overdoing things and realizing it after. Anyway, should I try salvaging this? We have generally the same people over every weekend and it just happened that she was new to the group and that my roommates were distracted (the kind of guys who will actively CB for no reason). What do you say Seddit? TL;DR: I had my first real successful open/kino but started overdoing it and eventually found out she had a boyfriend who treated her poorly.
