The thing you've got on your side is that you know one strong opinion everyone else at the rally will share. Thus, you have an opening with every single woman. From there, you don't have to talk about Kony, but it's a way to get in the door.

Something to consider: you are attending a rally designed to raise awareness about the kidnapping and brainwashing of thousands of Ugandan children. If a woman at all suspects that you're trying to pick her up at an event like that, she might be pissed. Furthermore, women might not want to be picked up and would rather focus on the issue. But hell, I'm just a lurker.
