I've watched bootcamp videos and read more PUA material than I care to admit. Skip the bootcamps. Find a local lair with guys you can regularly chase skirt with. Here's a solid framework I posted the other day, though my style is almost entirely natural/direct game. Copy and paste intitiated:

Direct game. It works wonders. Case in point: Saturday, eight approaches, seven number closes (the eighth had a boyfriend). My framework/ aka: "every girl's fantasy":

Make eye contact two seconds before passing.
Must act spontaneous, like you just saw the girl of your dreams. Turn around, jog back up to her.
Projecting your voice: "Excuse me! I'm about to have a heart attack here (with a wry smile + chuckle), but you are super cute and I had to see what you are like. I'm mileshigh_23."
Note: the "heart attack" bit is extremely effective, from my experience. It lends credibility that you're not a total player, and showing extreme confidence with your approach plus that kind of vulnerability is GOLD
Hold out your hand. Shake hers. Smile. Shaking her hand is very significant as you are making a physical contact, plus shaking a hand is a sign of trust
Flattery is null here. You stated your intentions, but you're not totally inflating your ego. You're just saying she caught your eye and wanted to see what you're like. Your frame now is "I'm trying to see if this is a girl I want to get to know." YOU are the decider.
"Nice to meet you. How is your day going?"
"Awesome, what's the coolest thing you've done all day?"
IF and ONLY IF you're feeling it with this girl, get her number. I only go for the number about 50% of the time. This is because I'm actively weeding out girls that don't attract me. "Cool, well we should hang out some time. How can we make that happen?"
"Sure, excellent idea. What's your number then?"
"Pleasure meeting you!"

Usually a day or two later, I'll text them in the afternoon, something like: "You. Me. Frozen yogurt. 8pm." *Also note: with the above framework, it is DEFINITELY possible to get attraction and a hard number close ~45 seconds after opening. This is the game Paul Janka and Simple Pickup (with some variations) run.
