just got back from a birthday party and here is the field report.

Arrived at the party and right off the bat started saying hi to my friends. This helps me build confidence so i can approach girls. During the night i spotted a HB8 as i was walking by, so i immediately stopped, looked at her and said "hi". i asked her what her name was, shook her hand and did the same to her Korean friend. HB8 asked me if i can get her beer as the bar is all empty. I immediately resisted, saying i cannot get her beer, but she kept insisting so i suggested we go upstairs where there were hard liquor (i know this is not a good move, and very AFC. I don't know why i did not listen to myself). Anyways, she took my hand as i guided her upstairs. Now i left her alone with her friends after we took the shot since i didn't want to be clingy and hovering over her as she talked to her friends. Maybe 30 minutes later I found her again, and used the "cube " personality test to bring back up some sort of conversation. She reacted great to it (score!). She wanted me to find her on FB and i told her I don't like that social media website, so she instead she gave me her number (score!!!). Now this is where it all went downhill.

i told her that " i gotta be honest, i am a bit nervous around you". HB8: i gotta be honest too, i have a boyfriend. are you sad? Me: no, no i like meeting new people (now in my head i am going "FUCK FUCK why did i say that. shit shit shit.) I then left her alone for the rest of the night

throughout the night i realized that she was promoting some sort of job thing. I am not sure exactly what it was; she was being shady about the details. So yeah, i hit on a girl who wanted to network and promote some sort of shady job opportunity.

I also started talking to this HB9 girl. She was with a group of four guys and two guys has a thing for her. I opened her with the same "hi, hows it going" line. Me, her and one of the guys started conversing about their careers and what they wanted to do(normal small talk) . Anyways throughout the whole conversation i couldn't build any attraction. He had his arms wrapped around her waist, just basically giving subtle hints of "she is mine, do not even try". In retrospect I should of found some way to isolate her away from the guy. I tried the "hey you guys are cool we should hang out " line to have her give me her number, but to no avail (seriously i tried like three times). They left and all i got was a FB friend invite. SMH

does anyone have any ideas why i cannot build attraction with girls. Its a bit confusing when everything is going right and yet you cannot even get her number. Maybe i should be more direct? should i have firmly denied HB8 attempt to use me for alcahol? or is this just a small sample and i need to continue playing the odds?
