If you want too make contact with your girlfriend do it, if you want that contact to initiate sex that works to, you dont have to be a doormat to show displays of affection, youre worrying too much. This is a good sub with great info, but that doesnt mean you have to follow it to a tee, do you man.

You're in a LTR: hold your frame, impose your will, take care of your first-mate.

It should be made clear that as long as you're getting what you need/ want from the relationship, she will always been taken care of.

Sometimes she will just put her hand on top of mine while we're sitting on the couch or in bed and the times that I reciprocate and hold her hand back it feels like I failed a shit test.

Typically, I want my hand on top of hers. But I'll let her play with my arm or whatever.

I wouldn't want her pulling my hair. We both seem to like it when I have a fist-full of hers.

I'm very affectionate... sometimes softly, and sometimes harder. I switch it up, so I'm a little unpredictable. I like girls who are affectionate, but they need to be soft. Mostly, I think you need to be comfortable in your own skin and do what gets you the results you want. If she's leading the interaction, and that bothers you, then change it. In your example, I just slide my hand out from under hers, and put it on top of hers. She's still getting what she wants, and possibly even more of what she wants.

As has been dicussed many times - there is no right or wrong way. Do what you want to do. If you wish to spoon then spoon; if you wish to smack her arse and call her your little 'sex toy' then smack her arse like the pimp you are.
