Putting it as a fb message seems like a bad idea imo. In high school it is tough to be honest, sometimes there is nothing you can do because people are still just ignorant and naive.

If you could i would not invite her one on one even in highschool it comes off a little creepy.Invite her to tag along with things you all ready plan to do, so you are not dependent on what her answer is. Example "Hey me and some friends are going to the movies later you should come with a friend"

Many of seddit's techniques don't work unless you older imo, this is mostly because the majority of hookups in highschool and some of them in college come from getting introduced by a friend or by having mutual friends. When you go to college next year I HIGHLY recommend becoming good friends with a couple of girls who have a lot of friends and with guy friends who are outgoing and are willing to meet and befriend new people. The amount of girls I have met through this way has been staggering.

In this case I would just ask for her number without pressuring and try and hang out with her and dont talk to her too much online. You will never get her if you never hang out with her. A little rambling and different ideas here but i think some of it might be helpful for you even if not now. I just finished my freshman year in college so I was where you were a year ago.

Where did you ask to hang out ? Did you make it clear that it was a date and not a "just friends" thing...? You probably should've just asked for her number to stay in touch and then called her to ask her out
