I've recently realized that I suffer from social anxiety. When trying to talk to someone I haven't met before my pulse races to the point that I find speaking and breathing difficult, my hands get sweaty, and my normally rosy cheeks go tropical sunset. I have a bunch of other things (difficulty reaching out to others, tendency to sit in silence when surrounded by other people etc.) that I deal with because of SA but the physical affects are the most obvious to others. My SA is not as bad as many people's. I do have a few friends and get along well with people once I've gotten to know them a bit and I feel like they know me. Naturally this makes meeting and befriending women pretty difficult for me. Does anybody from this wonderful community have any suggestions as to how I could actually use SA to my advantage instead of letting it hold me back?
