So my last FR was ages ago, as I started seeing a girl and we eventually moved in together. Over time I let all that I had learned and worked for slip as I became more complacent. BIG mistake, and a good lesson for sedditors: once you start on this path, you have to keep pushing foward, have to keep pushing yourself to excellence. This isn't all about meeting girls, it's about being the best man you can with what you have to work with. So we broke up a week ago (which I handled like a boss), I allowed myself one day of one-itis (it was more like one morning), I manned the fuck up, and I set out again.

I went out Friday and Saturday with some friends, I didn't make any approaches on Friday but I had a good time overall. Saturday I noticed on Facebook that an old make-out buddy was coming to town for her friend's birthday. I texted her and made plans to meet up along with some other friends. The bar we partied out turned out to be a gold mine of HB7's to HB10's. I decided to go with the opinion opener "How long should you wait in a relationship before moving in with the person?". It got a few girls thinking I was considering moving in with someone, but I just let them know I was just moving out. I used it to open a 3 set, the hottest of which was at least an HB9. One in the group clearly wasn't interested, which I initially tried to pull back in but began focusing on the HB9. She was very enthusiastic and was eating up whatever I said, leaning over the table towards me. At that point I should've isolated, but alas, I stayed and started running the Cube by her (one of my favorites). Unfortunately in the middle of it her friends literally drag her off to go dancing (3 cheers for cockblocking!). As she's being dragged away, she thanks me for talking to her and says I should go dancing with them. I didn't, and I didn't run into her again to get her number (note to self, always get the number ASAP). At this point though my confidence is through the roof, even straight up asking one girl if she wanted to go home me (she mumbled "I don't know" and immediately walked off). The bar starts to close up and I invite the old make out buddy and a couple of guy friends back to my place. I head back with one of the guys while the other two hang out and talk (as it happens, the guy she was talking to seemed like he was trying to get us together earlier in the night). When I get back my friend crashes on the couch and is out. An hour goes by and the make out buddy shows up at my place alone. I tell her that as the couch is taken, she can sleep in my bed as long as there was no funny business. Obviously funny business ensues, and she became more than a make out buddy for the night (and yes, I'm still in the same house I shared with my ex while she stays with a friend, but damn it it's my bed!).

Last night, I decide I need to get social and tried calling up some drinking buddies which didn't get a response (what's wrong with drinking on a Tuesday???). I then call up my best wingman in the world, my little sister (I took her to a party once and walked in on her telling everyone in the room how awesome I am, and other such instances). She invites a guy friend of her's who is not too keen on going out but goes along with. I had been watching Simple Pickup lately, and decided to just go natural for the night, no material. I go around opening girls (I need to start opening more guys too) until I notice an HB8 sitting alone near the outdoor patio dance floor. I make a beeline through the crowd and start chatting her up. Things are going well when her friends come over to say hi. Jackpot, as they are all around HB8's and there to celebrate my original target's birthday. I get introduced, and immediately ask for the girl's number (she said she was getting married soon, I told her he can hang out too, she gives it to me anyway). I then ask her to come dance with me, which ends up as me dancing with all her friends. Unfortunately around that time my sister's friend (who had been doing his damnedest to blow me out all night, and otherwise preoccupying my wing) somehow gets thrown out of the bar. So I leave, texting Miss Engaged that we should get our friends together soon.

All in all, it's been a good post-breakup week. I know I still have plenty to work on, but if I take care of myself first and foremost, everything else will fall into place in due time.
