So I was looking good and had a few minutes to kill before my kickball game so I went by the bookstore to see who was around.

Open number 1: Very cute HB8 was looking at the at and photography books so I started browsing whatever was next to her. Opened with "Are you an artist?" Turns out she was just going into college and was just a little too young but I got some IOIs and got a little confidence boost for the next open.

Open number 2: Cute shy HB7 was standing near but not in the checkout line. I wandered by a couple of times and she seemed to turn away from me. Finally said fuck it and went up and just said, "I just had to stop by and say you were very cute standing over here reading your book." She seemed genuinely stunned. Chatted for a bit about what she was reading and stuff. Got a couple of compliance tests in by recommending a book and trying to lead her to where it should be. Definitely needed to include more kino. Lesson learned. Did some light touching on the arm. I did get the line, "Do you pick up girls in the bookstore all the time?" That was actually pretty cool seeing as how thus was my first time really.

After we looked at books for a minute, I realized I was running late so I went for the number. She said, "How about I take your number?" Me: "Let's exchange numbers so we both have them." I handed her my phone and she put her number in and I have her a missed call. Closed with a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek. Turns out that she is less than half my age too. Feels good man.
