I'm 19 and about to enter my sophomore year of college. Over the years I've struggled with almost crippling social anxiety and a persistent general anxiety that eventually landed me a heavy daily dose of anti anxiety meds ( 3-4 .5mg tabs of kolonopin a day for those familiar). I've always been pretty quiet and have had some serious cases of oneitis that would put a lot of the stories I've headr to shame. I've slowly gotten better socially, especially in the past year, and stopped taking my meds in order to force myself to deal with things myself head-on. I've never had a girlfriend or even dated a girl ( kissed one one time 3 years ago), and much less ever even gotten close to anything further than that. I'm always told that I am an extremely likable guy that dresses well and is not unattractive at all (I even consider myself slightly above average now, a big leap from what I thought of myself 2 years ago). Though its hard to have any confidence while I know I have no real reason to have any based on past failures/ lack of any success at all, I pretend to have as much as I can. But you know what? I really just don't think I'm any good with women at all. I go out and practice at parties and such, but I always end up beating myself up afterwards.

To make it short, though I've been told numerous times that you just have to go out and try and that getting shot down will only make you stronger, sometimes I feel like I would be better off staying in bed to spare myself the disappointment.

TL;DR: I guess what I'm asking for is a few encouraging words/advice from PUA's that actually know what the hell their doing when they talk to women!
