Tonight I got a call from two work friends telling me to go to a party they were at. I really wasn't in the party mood: I stayed up very late the night before, and I knew I'd have to drive home tonight so I wouldn't be drinking. Also, these friends aren't from my school so they were the only ones I knew at this party. I would have just went to bed but my friend said there was lots of girls there and I thought "What would Seddit do? ".

So I drove to the party. Alone. Nervous. I met my friends right away when I got there and they introduced me to people. The friends were nice, but I still felt awkward being in a place with so many unfamiliar faces. And me being conscious of my awkwardness in turn made me more awkward. So anyways, once inside the house I saw two girls that I haven't talked to for 5 years! Both HB 8.5s . We were excited seeing eachother after so long, but conversation quickly died because we really didn't know much about one another; I only had hung out with them a few times back when we talked.

With convo dead, we said goodbyes and the girls left. Thats when I realized I lost the friends that invited me to this party! I just felt out of place and like a loser so I left. The end. Not a happy ending. pun intended. But I'm left with questions for seddit.

What I'm wondering is: Is there such thing as a failure in Seddit? On one hand , I feel successful going to a party despite the excuses I was giving my self. I went way the fuck out of my comfort zone and I'm proud of that. But on the other hand, I don't know if I really accomplished anything besides making myself feel awkward. What should I take from this experience?
