I was out to dinner with this girl HB8, and during the conversation, she mentioned that she had lost 20 pounds over the past half-year or so, and asked me how she looked. She looks fantastic now. I didn't want to totally suck up to her and say "You are beautiful" or something like that, but I think my parents have ingrained in my head that you never tell a girl she is fat. My brain didn't work fast enough to think of something clever to say, so I just said, "You're legit." She kinda laughed and at the time I didn't dwell on it, but now that I'm looking back I'm starting to wonder if I blew it there because I didn't end up kissing her at the end (after food we went and heard a talk on a common interest of ours, and after that she told me that she had to wake up at 4am to open at her work and dropped me off back at my car and there was no time to really make a move without it seeming forced.) What would you have done in that situation?
