We all have our deficiencies, and direct game and sexual escalation are some of mine. I've decided to work on these two highly related things a bit, and wanted to post what I tried last weekend as a bit of a half-assed Field Report. Looking for advice on others things to try in terms of direct game and escalation, and also wanting to share what has worked for me.

Background: HB8 I used to sleep with about a year ago. Started getting a line of communication back open this past month or two. She has been flirting with me here and there, but although she has talked a big game by text, she always wusses out when it comes to meeting up.

This weekend I decided to give things a try. I was in our downtown area, and sent her a random text-picture of the event I was at with the following text exchange. My mental notes are in [] :

9:30PM

Me: picture This is why I drink downtown

HB8: WTF lol I'm going to X [X is a nearby dance club I have no interest in what-so-ever]

11:52PM
Me: Heading to Y, holler if you want to hang out later

HB8: Was there earlier

Me: Are you booting dancing at X the rest of the night?

HB8: Lol yes

Me: [Time to man up]: Ok, well we should have sex so let me know if you want to hang out when you're done

HB8:Hahahahahahahaha

Me: I like the ambiguous response

HB8: :-) meow

Me: Ha! Well Kitty Kat, if you want me to come booty dance on you and take you home, I'll be there

HB8: Haha, I just left... [long story about work]... I'm going to snuggle with a stuffed animal. I don't have sex anymore (at least I tell myself that)

Me: Ok. Well let's change that

HB8: I hate u.

HB8: Do u live at the same place

Me: [Sent this simultaneously to her previous text asking where I lived] Doesn't have to be tonight just saying we should get together sometime

Me: Yep

HB8: Ok I will come over for a bit

Didn't F-close, she has a massive mental barrier up about sex right now cause she is trying to be a good girl waiting for the right guy and a real relationship, but still had a fun night in bed with her. Would love to hear comments on this exchange, and look forward on a discussion of direct game since I do 99% of my work indirectly (not really, but it feels that way).
