Field Report from tonight, but more of a straight one-girl fake date. Posted since its a problem I've experienced a couple times and I'm curious if it might spark an interesting issue. Basic fail to build attraction.

went out with a girl tonight. It was very flirty the entire time but just felt like we were killing time. There was a big festival in town and we were walking around at night to the different events and checking stuff out and between each we would walk arm in arm and be all over each other, touching, etc (but no kissing) and talking about touching (for lack of a better term). Whenever we'd get to the venue however, she would wander off with "oh, hey my friend" and not come back for a very long time. At 3 separate venues. I didn't want to play this "I'll wait for you" bullshit so I would wait for a bit then wander off and look busy doing something else; I 'd talk to some other girl for a while, joke with the bartender, talk to some merch guy near the stage, etc. Eventually after a while she would come back by and say "hey" like nothing.

I'd had a long day so ended up going home and just saying I was leaving. Direct felt really drama-y but I ended with a "If we aren't hanging out this is a waste of my time since that's why I'm here, see ya" send off.

Clearly, she isn't super in to me but more of a backup for when she's bored. Either way, I don't really give a shit about any relationship or anything so it isn't a huge deal, I'm just annoyed more or less that I couldn't build attraction and I ended up just leaving since I didn't know what to do. Too tired to deal with that bullshit and not feeling up to separate pickup so I came home to write this up. Not looking for any particular feedback, I am pretty clear what went wrong, just offering a story.
