Hi guys, this is my first post so bear with me. A little back story, I just transferred to a new college after being at a college 15 min from my house. So naturally this is the first time in a while i need to make a whole new group of friends. Well last week I was out and about hitting the bars. As I'm walking down the street some girl from out of no where stops me and asks me for a cigarette ( i wasn't smoking at the time but i did have some on me). I look at her and notice how hot she is so I start talking to her. Long story short she has a boyfriend but i got her to invite me back to her house. I made good kino and was either holding her hand, touching her lower back or had my arm around her the whole time. However when it came time to k-close she wouldn't because of the boyfriend. She told me how much she really liked me though and how I'm making her realize she likes me more than her boyfriend.. Anyway i #-close and leave with a peck on the lips. So i initiate that i would like to take her out soon and she is hesitant because the boyfriend but i break through and get good responses. I leave it at that and don't set a day. Yesterday she texts me asking what im doing that night. She says she is drinking with her roomies but wants to meet me after. We make the plans and eventually i head out. i called and confirmed and she was all set to meet up with me once i got on her campus ( my college has 4 campuses that you need to take a bus to get to). I finally get to her campus and call her, it goes straight to voicemail. I walk to the bar and call again, same thing. I text her I'm there and call a couple more times and nothing. So at this point I'm at a random bar by myself in a place where I'm very unfamiliar with.
I said fuck it i can still have fun so i go in with the intention of meeting new girls. However my state of mind was so fucked already i just felt awkward in there and wasn't really in the happy meet people mood. I ended up talking to a group of athletes for a while but i just wasn't into it and eventually left.
I have two questions, the first is could that girl have a valid reason for whatever happened or did she flake on purpose. Mostly I want your opinions on how to handle the situation, she was a real cool girl and very hot, it would be cool if i could still make it happen. Second, when something like this happens how can you blow it off and still have a good time and salvage a night out of it. Any techniques to get your mind off that one girl? TL;DR had plans with a girl and had contact with her up to an hour before we were supposed to meet. When i got to her area her phone was dead/off. she no showed and it ruined the rest of my night as my mood was shitty. Any tips on how to get your head back into the game after something like that happens? Also is there any valid reasons she could have for flaking or should i just stop talking to her.
