I'll do my best to keep it as brief but detailed as possible.

So I got up today amped with energy about trying something new for a change, being social. Went through my morning routine and decided to add some excitement by leaving for school ten minutes later, that should get the energy goin. So I haul ass to the parking garage, but keep it chill on the walk across campus to my class. I'm feelin like a boss, good day, all that. Work on maintaining eye contact with random people and not breaking first.

So I walk in late, everyone's sitting. I barely know anyone in there besides 1 girl who I moved too slow on (has a boyfriend now, I don't even care). No seats open anywhere near her, IDGAF. I pick up a chair and move it through the rows to her. I'm not even going for her, she's busy cramming, I don't care. We talk a little, nothin special or new. Class starts, I'm scanning for the few attractive girls in there. Sit around and listen to a guest speaker and practice more eye contact. First part of class ends.

Second part of class involves talking to various faculty members about their research in small groups of students. Work on being more social and engaging and all that throughout. Not bad, but nothin too special. Finish second part of class, this is where it picks up.

Go to school library to kill an hour or so while I wait for my buddy to get out of class. Walk in, go up the stairs with the intention of sittin around in a chair surfing the web to kill time. See a girl I know from a class last year, never really talked with her too much. We're not friends by any means but we're friendly. Go up and make small talk with her, nothing too impressive from the outside but honestly if it happened earlier I would've probably just sup-nodded her and maybe said hey. I don't really find myself that attracted to her, but she's pretty and interesting. So I walk away and go up another level of stairs to kill time on the web. Here is where I regret not going that far with her earlier. So I try and ignore that feeling and chat with my buddy online. Get him to amp me up and pressure me into going back and talking to her again. I do well if I have peer pressure on me. So I pack my stuff and head out. I did it fairly quick too, normally I'd just hyper-plan it out and pussy out.

So I go back and find her just sittin around with her friend. I use some clearly BS excuse that my friend didn't show up and I got bored so I decided to hang out with her. I'm sure in the future I won't use an excuse or try to hide my intentions but whatever, first day. I sit down and make more random small talk, conversation doesn't really pick up. She's on her phone doing whatever with headphones in and takes one out to talk from time to time. (What do I do in these situations anyways?). So I stick around for a while and text my friends to see what they're doin. I pack my stuff, get up, and decide "eh why not, I'll ask for her number." It'll be good practice and I don't feel like I'd risk anything, I don't even like her that much. So at this point I should make it clear, I take adderall for ADHD and when I get excited, Adderall gets excited. So I get an extra kick of energy and whatnot and do the next part not as smoothly as possible. I think I said something like "well imma go meet up with one of my buddies, but it was nice talking to you. Can I get your number and maybe we can hang out some other time?". I know, beta as fuck. You gotta realize though, I suck socially. I think this may be the first time I've asked a girl in person for her number, and definitely the first time I've been anywhere near direct about it. She pretty much grabs the phone out of my hand and insists on entering her number in by herself. I say bye and walk off. I send her a text and I think I pretty much said "you know how to spell it[my name, it's pretty unique and spelled differently than you would think]?".

After that was just more practicing eye contact with strangers and I chatted up a girl in the elevator.

How'd I do? What did I do alright, what did I fuck up? Thoughts? Any and all comments welcome.
