Of the top of my head, you lack social value in the moment. Probable cause is that you're uninteresting/boring in the moment.

My guess from that very limited information is that you haven't established rapport or been fully accepted into the group. The person may not know how they feel about you yet. Or you're being an inappropriate or uninteresting ass.
