Several times I just started talking to someone I didn't know, kind of dared myself into it, not thinking about the future but the now. At one point a girl sat near me and she looked kinda down. I chatted with her for a few minutes by typing on my phone and passing it back and forth (it was loud and she didn't seem to feel like shouting). It was pleasant, but either I moved a bit fast with it or her friends were persistent to get her back on her feet. Either way, I saw that I made her smile, that's good enough for me.

A few hours into the night I was drained, I didn't have the drive to be as friendly for some reason, like I was socially exhausted already. Maybe this is like a muscle I need to build up. Not feeling so hot right now but I'm glad I put myself out there more than I ever have before in situations where I didn't know anyone.

I know this isn't that related to seduction but I feel like the learning processes are similar. You guys seem like good people to share something like this with, so any words you have for this encouraging/discouraging night would be awesome. Thanks.
