I've gotten pretty good at the seduction part. Now I want to improve myself as a person.

I think sometimes about when I was 8, and what I thought then about what I'd be like as an adult. I owe it to that kid to be as cool as he thought he was gonna be when he was a grown-up.

Here's my tips for "being the man you always wanted to be:"

Get and stay healthy. Learn how to eat properly. Get in regular exercise you enjoy.
Keep improving your social skills. Read every "How to Talk to People" book you find. Keep challenging yourself to be the most charming, conversational, and social person you know.
Take some time out and ask yourself what's really important to you in life. Set concrete, realistic goals and review them daily.
Stay positive. Always see the humor of bad situations. Remember that whatever happens, you choose how to react to it. Seek out other positive people and influences. Positivity attracts more positivity. Avoid negative people and influences.
Have at least 2 hobbies you enjoy that don't involve drinking alcohol.
Everything is play. If you approach things with enthusiasm, even if your enthusiasm is ironic and sarcastic at first ("Cool! I can't wait to do dishes!"), the task or activity at hand will actually get more fun.
Have a Code of Ethics and stick to it -- be held accountable to it. Maintaining consistency with your Code of Ethics is called integrity, and is one of the best assets a man has. Your Code can be a pure copycat of your favorite religious book, or based entirely on your own observations.
Have some friends in your life who are children. You can stay playful in life by connecting with their energy. They will make you feel good about yourself because you're a cool/wise adult.
If you're spiritual, be authentic about your spirituality and why you believe what you believe. Be well-read on your belief system. Let your Mind as well as your Heart guide your spiritual path. If you are atheist, just let spiritual and religious people have their thing and try not to condescend or judge. Whether you're spiritual or atheist, the most important thing to focus on is the Now. And for both groups, let there be mystery in your life. Allow some things to remain unexplained. It adds charm and flavor to your life.
Approach Life and Love with a light touch. Be playful. Have fun. Don't take things too seriously.

Sorry if this is too "advice-y." It's a starting point for discussion, at least.

TL;DR: Be healthy, be active, be social, have fun.
