Okay so I live in Dubai and we have this thing called "Emirates International Rugby 7s". As they call it, it's "the biggest rugby party on the planet". So many people show up for 2 days of 7s rugby and everybody is drunk. Everyone I know (including me) doesn't go for the rugby but for the being drunk part.

First night, I go there with the intention of meeting new people and possibly closing with some girls. I get really drunk (as everyone else does during the 7s). It starts to rain really badly so it kinda messes up everything cause everyone is pissed and all. So it's raining heavily, I go to the bathroom, and as I'm coming out, I see this group of 4 guys and one girl. I go to say hi and ask for a cigarette from one of the guys. I start talking to the guys and we talk for a good 3 minutes and we laugh and everything about how fun 7s is every year. I see that the girl is very quite but she's paying attention to me with a grin so I turn around and tell her "your eyes are really beautiful". She's easily an HB9. She smiles and starts walking towards the stairs, I follow her and introduce myself. But my friend waves at me and I have to go. So I leave it there.

We decide to leave the place when the rain gets very heavy and it gets cold. As we're leaving, we meet 2 of my friends' friends (we used to go to school together so I knew them too). Let's call them HB9 and HB7. As we're walking towards the rides, I keep making funny drunken comments every time HB7 says something. Like:

  • HB7: "I'm so cold" Me: "Well lets cuddle like penguins cause I'm cold too!"
  • HB7: "I'm so cold" Me: "WELL HB7 I CAN'T CONTROL THE WEATHER" (that 70s show reference)
  • HB7: "My knees hurt" Me: "Have you been suckii whaaaaat???" (this can be really offensive but I said it in a really playful and sarcastic tone and didn't finish the sentence so it's not so graphic. She laughed her ass off)

We finally find a ride and sit in the back with HB7. She starts cuddling with me, I wrap my arm around her and start rubbing her hand. She's shy so I start kissing her forehead. She looks up and we make out for a bit before she leaves. We both obviously didn't want to follow up on things cause we just weren't interested and we both knew it by default. I guess it was just a burst of attraction.

Day 2 begins. I get drunk faster and start opening to a bunch of girls but just as far as names and high fives. They would go further but I didn't want to cause my friends were there and also I wasn't really interested in doing anything that day. During the day I get my jacket (one of my fav ones) stolen so I'm all pissed and sobered up. I meet some old friends and I kinda forget the suckyness of having my jacket stolen. We decide to leave the place and as we're walking out, I hear my name being shouted by a girl. I turn around and the girl with beautiful eyes is there. She asks for my number and kisses me on the cheek and says that she's happy that she saw me. I missed call myself and then text her back inviting her to my house for after party (I was having 20 people at mine so it really was an after party). She says she's so damn tired and she prefers passing out at this point.

I decide to play the slow game and didn't text or anything after that. 24 hours later she adds me on Facebook and likes a bunch of my photos. After a day or so, I start a conversation about the 7s and how it all went. I tell her how I got a permanent shoulder injury last year and how it hurts so much after the 7s and then added "I need a good nurse to help me through these tough times" she laughs and we move on. Then I ask for her BlackBerry PIN "cause it's easier". She sent me hers and then I said "I'm gonna text you naughty things" she's all like "-.-" but I literally text her "naughty things". She likes it a lot and laughs about it. I learned this here on Seddit by the way! Credits to the dude who came up with this!

The thing is, I've always been a beta man so I don't know how to keep the attraction and not sound like a douche-bag. I wanted to spark another conversation today so I said "I always thought you looked like a model, check her out, she looks just like you" she says "oh yea she does but just the face shape. So many people say I look like ACTRESS from TV SHOW. But she looks better" and I said "naah.. the hottest Hungarian I've seen so far" I was referring to her and I thought she's gonna take it as a compliment but apparently she didn't and she just went offline.

Did I do something wrong here? I was pretty happy with my successful weekend but I think I just lost this girl. How would you fix it? I feel like I take the alpha too far sometimes..
