It's been over a month since my original post describing my intent to actually begin the RP journey. Since then I've kicked up into overdrive almost all aspects of my life, lifting, schooling, reading, practicing social skills etc.

A couple days ago my buddy invites me out to hang with two girls. One I've known for years but the other one whom I got the number of I had only met briefly once before. I showered and showed up my best dressed possible and maintained a positive aura about me. As I sat across from her at the table I noticed strong eye contact towards me which I returned. Also when she would begin telling a story she would focus on me for the first 20 seconds looking into my eyes. I engaged her in conversation whenever possible. After certain IOIs I became more confident and told myself "I'm the shit. I got this".

I walked up and got her number at the end of the night as we were all leaving. I literally just said "You're interesting. What's your number?" and she gave it.

I'm solely happy for finally having the balls to walk up and ask for a number. This could fizzle out in the end but I still have that learning experience, i'm not too concerned about the girl herself. I want to talk to more girls now and try getting even more numbers.

I haven't texted her at all since getting the number on tues. I was thinking of waiting until monday, keeping it light and short for a bit then setting up logistics. What's the standard operating procedure here?
