In middle school and 9th grade, I had really bad acne and was basically socially retarded. My facial features were never bad, and I moved from a 4 to a 7 as soon as I got rid of my acne. It wasn't run of the mill acne- huge, red, with scabs or pus, covering my entire face. You get the idea.
I also had no social skills and was hella weird and awkward. I did a lot of stupid things.
I've cleaned up my acne, and I've grew out of my social awkwardness. I lift, I eat well, I meditate, I have a high GPA.
But people at my school still remember me as that kid who used to be a loser, and it's not like I can erase their memory. People don't exactly bring it up explicitly, but you can tell they remember and still see you that way.
How do you counter this?
