It depends, how much time do you waste on fb? It can be a good thing, for social proof and network as you've said. You can also game on it, or just keep in touch. You can get a lot od information on a girl from facebook also!

But all things listed above vary in every age group.

I have deleted facebook not so long ago, when i read an article(can't really remember the name or URL). There was this one line that blew my mind away. "Are you getting money from facebook? Are you getting laid because of it? No? Then deactivate your account!" In my case, fb caused me to procrastinate a lot. And after that article i figured that i have a cell phone to keep in touch, i can just txt a friend. What I've noticed, in my age group(20's), girls find it rather strange that i ask them for a number when I'm out. It's like this unwritten social rule that says you should ask for her fb. Asking for number makes me stand out more from all the other guys.

In conclusion, so far I haven't really missed fb, except for groups and events( - the latter are the main reason my friends are angry with me, since they have to constantly check instead of me)

Use it only to DHV. Always stay offline in chat. Rarely upload stuff. Very rarely "like" something. The idea is to make you look like you have better things to do than spend all your free time on Facebook.

No need to delete it. It's pretty decent to show that you're a friendly, attractive, outgoing, [insert all positive traits you want to cover] guy.

In my case it fucked things up. I spent so much time being over available to a girl chatting whenever she wanted me to. Honestly if a girl says facebook and doesn't give her number, it's a shit test if anything. They want to look for red flags and excuses to ditch you. Swipe that test aside and get her number and dont add her until you're actually dating or seeing her in some way.

I'm thinking about deleting my facebook. But if you use it right I guess it could be a good way to provide social proof and network. What do you guys think?

I don't use it, at least not directly, with my game. I guess some girls with whom I swap info with, end up stalking my page and seeing "social proof" or whatever, but you only know that if the girl volunteers such info or "likes" something, etc.

On the other hand, it's an exercise in image management if you hang out with doofs who like to tag you up in pictures of situations you'd rather not have public. -shrugs-

At the end of the day though, I just use it to keep in touch with a wide range of friends. So the idea of deleting it because it's not directly benefiting "game" is something that seems kind of ridiculous to me.

Shit, absolutely hate it. All I really see it as a website people use to broadcast their everyday life so they can gather attention. It encourages stalking and makes you feel like shit. When you're at home on fb then someone posts pics of that party you didn't go to cause you didnt feel like going to. In generally, if you're not above 30 and you use it, it's most likely for attention whoring. Only upside i see from it is you keep in touch with friends ocassionally, but that's what I have a phone for. TL;DR; Social Networks are lame.
