I've started to really gear up, thinking about my studies. This means that during the day, I'll often be thinking about upcoming exams or whatever, especially since it's exam period for me.

I was in a lecture today - sitting by myself, paying attention. There was a five minute break and I was just on my phone, just going through Instagram. I saw a girl that I knew - I knew she liked me. But I just didn't care for some reason. Because I was so worried about an upcoming exam, I just didn't care about talking to that girl. It's like girls have gone down much lower on my priority list. Even though I didn't have any reason to not talk to her since we had a break!

Back when I didn't give a shit about studying, I would've walked up to her and talked to her - because I would've been in a 'social' mode. But I feel like now that I'm taking my studies seriously, I've becoming more introverted and distracted and I'm avoiding social situations that aren't planned - I'll still be outgoing at a birthday party, for instance, but I'll avoid talking to someone I know if I see them on campus.

Has anyone ever experienced this before?
