I had a long conversation with a guy who is an AFC who has basically masked his insecurities about women with rationalizations (he is very well educated, so his arguments "sounded" very good). Throughout the conversation, I tried to introduce him to the values of modern pick up ideas (e.g. The Model) and how modern PU is not really exclusively about picking up women but about being the guy that women naturally get attracted to. I even took examples from my personal life (maybe I shouldn't have done that, made the conversation too personally invested on my part) in order to illustrate the points.

He agreed with me on some points, but in general showed much doubt and talked about what he thought were wrong. All the things he said were reminiscent of ideas I used to have myself when I was a mega AFC trying to rationalize the lack of women in my life. Since he was very articulate and firm about his AFC beliefs, and because I've had experience with them myself, his words began to shake me a little bit subconsciously. In the end, I got a bit stressed out, excused myself from the long conversation and left.

My worry is that the conversation we had might mess with me the next time I socialize. Can my progress/my confidence regress? Should I just consider the conversation a learning experience where I got more familiar with the "how not to think"? Lately I've been such a fuckign boss with attracting women and I don't want this to hinder my growth.
