This will result in a big improvement in your game for some of you:

I've seen some success in my approaches recently, but I've noticed I've started plateauing and not improving further, and I just wasn't enjoying going out.

No longer motivated by the icy cold grip of a 3 month long dry spell (because I was starting to get results), I've been going out less and less recently and starting to feel a marked decline in my game and atrophy of my pickup skills.

Guess what: If, after beating approach anxiety and getting results you still have to force yourself to go out every night, you're never going to reach the next level of success. You will never have true confidence in your approach if you're unconsciously fighting your discomfort at the place you're in.

So far, I have been following the traditional community advice of going to bars and clubs. The thing is, as a geek and an introvert (neither of these are negative qualities), I really hate loud bars and clubs. Clubs are not an acquired taste for me, no matter how much I go, I still can't stand them.

Recently I stopped giving a fuck and instead of intentionally going out to meet women just started to go to things I like and think are interesting. I would still approach by habit once I was there, but I would just go with the intention of having a good time and enjoying the experience.

The result is a massive improvement in my mental state, calm, and happiness. I just seem more relaxed, which sends out unconscious vibes I'm sure are felt by women.

I used to go to venues I could barely put up with just because women were there. Now, I go to a place I enjoy no matter what, and any women are an added bonus. I don't have to worry about body language or get in my head. I just act like the real me, my true best self in his natural habitat. Openers come naturally and quickly to me based on things in the environment I'm in.

Some venues I recommend if you don't like the club scene:

  • Art gallery openings. If you're in a big city, there are art gallery openings every weekend. I particularly like surrealist or postmodern art. Doesn't matter how big the set you approach is, you can get everyone with the same opinion opener, ask to take a picture, etc.
  • Speakeasies and cocktail bars. Asking which cocktail is the best or making up a ridiculous story about the origins of some famous cocktail is an easy opener.
  • Museum Nightlife. Many major art and science museums have special night life events meant for adults only. There is usually alcohol and sometimes really fascinating exhibits.
  • Goth night. If you still want to attend clubs but hate club music, find one that has a weekly goth night. The music and atmosphere is super chill and all of the douchebags have been cleared out and replaced with the kids they used to pick on in high school.
  • Hotel bars in the most expensive hotels. It's just fun to infiltrate the upper crust of society. The women who are not here with their rich husbands are usually businesswomen who are away alone from friends, bored, and fairly DTF if you look at least somewhat presentable.
  • Charitable Events. Fundraisers are fantastic to meet people, both for professional networking and pickup. Read the biography of any billionaire who has a hot wife, and you will see half of them met her at a fundraiser. You'll have to dress nice (custom suit game will kill here) and attending can get expensive, but well worth it. At least here in San Francisco, I've noticed that fundraisers consistently have a greater ratio of attractive women than any other venue.
