I think it's deep rooted in the childhood when relatives kissed me on the cheek, I closed my eyes in "shame". I'm an European and here it's quite normal to handshake man and kiss on the cheek the women. How to get past this thing and make it happen normally without me feeling awkward. I think it is a very important part of "kino escalation". (p.s. also should you full kiss them or just pretending to just barely touch their cheeks when kissing?). (p.s.2 maybe it's because of the upbringing where hanging out with girls and kissing them was not encouraged. In my family, having relationships was like a "wrong way" for a teen and those who had it were bad-gossiped in family discussions. Having an education was the most important thing.
