I'[23M] 've noticed that I have a tendency to take any enhanced of female attention as "Oh man, I got this in the bag" only to get let down. How can I stop jumping the gun?

Honestly, just keep getting yourself out there and "get the jitters" out so to speak.

You're spot on with your analysis of yourself so you need to just go and practice some self control. I used to jump the gun too and just focused more on flipping my mindset and focusing on the present. You've been able to recognize the problem and you know when you're doing it wrong. Whenever you feel yourself texting (that seems to be your main problem) or doing anything just to seek validation, you're doing it wrong and you know it.

You're not "gaming" women into anything. You're a man that has values and self respect and when you see a woman that you like, you show that to her and if you have to even come close to bending over backwards, you're not gonna have it and that should be made known.

A way that made me think about it differently is that the most unattractive quality in the world should be when a girl isn't that into you or doesn't want to hang out. She's fucking ignorant and completely blew her chance at getting to hang out with you.

The move forward from where you are to where you need to be is to have great self respect, i'm kind of all over the place with my message but check out /u/tofutofu's primer on the modern day man, that's what your mindset should be like

The issue is in your intentions. You are approaching to self-medicate. You are looking for validation, not just "a good time". Stop viewing these women as a way to get validation and make sure your intentions are purely sexual/romantic. This becomes easier when you meet an awesome girl.
