Ok, I've been lurking for a while now and I promised myself I'd do a FR when I got back home out of gratitude.

Back story: Had issues with people in general for the longest time now. I had a massive AA issue and wasn't and am not good at keeping conversations going and interesting. So despite being 20/m , 6'3, in pretty good shape, and told that I could should be getting any girl I want, I've never had a solid GF. That being said, I've been lurking...

The Party: Party was being thrown at my teams house (water polo house ftw) and unfortunately I live on the other side of campus 2.5 miles away downhill. So I drove over about an hour late and walked in. Grabbed something to drink and said hi to the guys. I lurked around and made small talk w/ the guys until I headed out to beer pong table on the lawn. I walk up and notice a gorgeous brunette, HB9 standing at the table next to what I assumed was her friend. I'm pretty sure I messed this one up big time but I tapped her shoulder (kino) and asked her who was winning. Never really started up a full conversation or demanded attention in any way so she ended up walking off at some point. Was going to follow her and make more conversation but I got dragged into a pong game with one of the guys and she was gone before we finished.

Later one of the girls I know brought over her posse (HB6, HB8, HB7, another HB6) and they proceeded to speak to me as a group for all of 10 minutes. One of the HB6s was clearly into me but I had eyes for the HB8 so I was polite but I kept trying to talk to the 8. After another lurking session, asked the 8 to dance and proceeded to k-close (5 second rule and "I'm going to kiss you" actually work O.O) while dancing. Kissed a couple more times then she walked off on me with no explanation. Left alone after a while.

So this was a good experience and I'm looking forward to repeating it and learning from my mistakes.
