Approach everyone you see without hesitation- Hot girls, ugly girls, guys. This gets that social momentum going. Approaching attractive girls isn't a big deal when you're approaching everyone.

Be physical with everybody. Everyone gets high fives, handshakes. If they tell a good joke, guys can get a pat on the shoulder or girls can get a touch on the arm. Being physical with attractive girls isn't a big deal for you when you're being physical with everybody.

Qualify everybody. You're not there to make people like you- You're there to decide if you like them or not. They'll be lucky if you decide that they're cool enough to be friends with you. The party is more enjoyable to them since you decided to stop and talk to them. You don't need to focus on being cool, you need to decide if they're cool or not. Be friendly to everyone, but always be thinking "What are they really like?"

So basically, just go around being friendly and talking to everyone and learning more about them and get out of your head. And if you decide someone's really cool (because your mindset here is that you're evaluating them, not trying to make everyone like you), get their number and tell them you'll hang out later, whether it's a guy or a girl.
