Yeah, you're going to have to go for kino next time for sure! Try to hug her hello next time for sure, and maybe make the actual 'date' something fun and more physical like bowling or a walk in the park. I've never been great at kino initially, but last date I was conscious about it. You can't just not touch her at all then expect her to eat your tonsils out at the end, it's a pretty big leap.

This is a girl I ended up not being that interested in but I'll tell you about it anyway. I made it a coffee date, but then to show that I'm a leader / can make decisions, as soon as we got to the shop I said 'its a nice day, lets go to the park instead of having it here'. so we went to the park, sat on the seats there etc. I knew I'd have to lay the kino groundwork here in case I did end up liking her. Girls don't do it for you unless they are super mega keen and very assertive. That's not many. So I basically had to pick something about her that gave me an excuse to touch her. First was some wrist bracelets that looked handmade. I started playing with them and asked her about them, bam, kino and conversation that went pretty well, about a holiday she went on where she bought them. Next, an oversized ring she was wearing, pretty much same thing. Some family heirloom or present that she was happy to talk about. Next thing I remember doing was when there was a slightly cold breeze, she'd get goosebumps on her arms. I'd already kino'd with the jewellery, so it was no big deal to just tease her about goosebumps and rub her arm lightly where they were (and offered to move somewhere warmer but she didn't seem to mind). All in all that seemed to work for me even though she ended up being a bit boring, and she did want to see me again, so I guess that's an example of 'success' that you might be able to do similar stuff to get things moving... If I'd felt like I wanted to kiss her though, I would have ramped it up a bit faster.

And yeah, don't go for the 'big, planned out romantic type dates' as these are pretty offputting for women and if anything make you out to be a 'provider' rather than a sexual partner.. and if you were going to have success with that sort of thing you could do it cheaper in a less imposing setting. If you are just 'hanging out', 'having fun', whatever, she's not going to get uneasy about it.

I get the feeling you are assuming the date went poorly from her perspective. She might think it went great! "2 hours", "made her laugh", this sounds like a solid first date to me. Not going for the hug at the end after you started the date with a hug is the only obvious mistake I saw.

Set up date 2 ASAP before she mentally puts you in the friend-zone, and do something fun and keno conducive. I don't know what's in your area but bowling or mini-put are good "go-tos"
