All,

After making love, the mistress says, "You're done already?", the "companion" says, "Are you done yet", the wife says, "Beige. I think I'll paint the ceiling beige".

I used to think this was so clever. Now I'm living it. And it's not just sex. It's in other areas of life where I expect some, or more, respect than I'm getting. Some words I want to use are: careless (with what she says), inconsiderate with people and things where I would not be, dismissive, clueless.

I've been making efforts for a couple years, to get my shit together. The more I do, the more disatisfied I get and the more unwilling I am to let things slide and to just go-along with things. I've made efforts to do things to keep us together. But I'm done.

I'm actually contemplating divorce. I have the all the blue hesitancies, guilt, sadness, anger, etc, etc.

No joint kids. 1 of hers is grown. Pretty simple finances and I've already been itemizing assets and deciding which things I want to fight-to-keep, if it comes to that. I want to protect my assets and legacies. I want a clean break. But part of me just ...

Anyway, I guess a question is in order. The part I'm trying to deal with is pulling that trigger and how to go about it. I'm reading sites. My state has a no fault divorce so that may make things easier. I just have to state that things are unreconcilable. I think I can figure out the logistics. I just don't have the framework to make my decision, or even to evaluate it clearly. I'm looking for thoughts around that.

Thanks
