Pretty badly.

No mystery. This is a shit test and the way to pass it is not to take the test.
It's one of those questions nobody really wants the answer to. Like when you ask a girl you're dating how many guys she's been with and you start wondering if you're one of the better ones.

What you should do next time is joke around and say "832,955", and dodge the question.

If you say it like you're bragging, or say it with insecurity, definitely bad. If you've just met the person, also bad. If you've known them for a while, been connecting, already slept with them, and answer it in a neutral way that shows you don't really care, then it's not a big deal, at least in my limited experience (Three girls I've answered honestly, in all cases it didn't affect things and we continued to see each other.)
