I've read a number of postings and articles of late about the man not bringing his work home with him and not whining to his wife/gf. I 100% agree that a man doesn't do that. You have a tough job with lots of stresses but that's life as a man. Suck it up. Vent to other guys you work with it but don't bring it home to your wife.

What wasn't mentioned though, was the upside to this lifestyle. It's ok to tell your wife you've had a rough day/week/whatever but don't go into the details. She doesn't need to know and probably won't get it anyway. However, because you've fulfilled your part in the arrangement in bringing home the bacon, your wife should do her part and help reduce your stresses. There's such an overpowering feeling of being the king of the castle. Having your home as the one place you are sure is absolutely under your control gives you a sense of peace and empowerment. It makes all the day time stresses seem completely worth it.

When I've had stressful days, I tell me wife I need to relax and forget about work. A good evening for me is scotch, cigar and a blow job. Having her perform her wifely duties quietly (i.e no talking) while I sit back and relax helps us both. I forget about work and enjoy the fruits of my labors while she feels she's supporting me in the best possible way.

Any other suggestions on how to enjoy being man of the house and getting mileage out of your arrangement?
