I've been using online dating as my primary means of meeting women recently (dumb, I know) but I've managed to get lots of dates and hook up with a few of these girls. It has been fantastic to me in that I've gotten to test and practice my seduction and sex skills to a point of confidence.

The downfall is that the two women I've had sex with so far (Currently dating 3 different women from the ones I've slept with) were FWB situations. The sex was straightforward, lots of fun, whatever. Many guys say they'd love a set up like this but truth be told, after you are content with your sex skills and understand how to turn women on, these relationships can really impair your ability to build healthy dating relationships.

A couple of the women I've dated I've also had over in bed now and, because of how straightforward the sex was with my FWB, I was pretty unrelenting in my advances for escalation towards sex. Nothing outrageous or forceful but every time they said "no, not tonight" I took it as a challenge, meaning "I'm not horny enough yet, try later" so 5-15 mins later I'd KEEP trying to escalate. After they left (later in the night or the next morning) I felt like a douchebag for putting that kind of pressure on them. I sexualized our hang out way more than I should have.

I'm not saying I should have been a timid bitch but I should have limited my advances to every 15-45 minutes, taking more time to appreciate their company and make them feel safe. Light, playful bantering and deep conversation should have been just as high of a priority.

TLDR; Being accustomed to FWB relationships made me forget how gradual dating and sex with regular ladies usually is. No more FWB for me, it's fucking with my head.
