Is being "Goofy" detrimental to my game?

Depends on your definition of goofy. I'm an outgoing and rambunctious son of a bitch when I go out. I'm always the center of attention because I'm loud, carefree and pretty outrageous in my shenanigans. But if you are FUN, it shouldn't be hurting your game. If you're doing stupid shit just for attention, some people may pick up on that and see it as annoying. Just have fun and gauge your audience. If they seem to be having fun with you, continue on your merry way and get on with your goofy self. If they are turned off by your actions, maybe tone it down a notch. Its all about how the people around you see your goofiness.

Nah man, I think it's a good trait. "Weird" means "different than the norm". I would say you're in the higher weird minority (cool people) rather than the lower weird minority (psychopaths and whatnot).

Just make sure you aim to help. The main difference between between a genius and an insane guy is how much they contribute to society.
