Do you mean she said no, as in she has a boyfriend? I'm assuming so. She was obviously attracted if she's eyeing you the whole night. Never ask a girl if she's single or taken. She might be taken, but if she is giving you IOIs left and right she is interested. Meaning if she does have a boyfriend... She isn't serious about him. Asking that risky question can put you in a pitfall like that. Always assume she's single.

Never ask girls if they are single. I am almost certain thats where you blew it. What is does is it lays out all the cards on the table, the mystery is gone for her and she is CERTAIN that you are interested her in either a hook up or a relationship. Because of this, attraction is lost even if she doesnt have a bf. If she does have one, then it makes it clear through this qestion that she will cheat.. which all girl dont want to do when thinking logically, but you can mfake them do in a controlled environemtn.
