funily enough your post will get deleted if you add more info because it will belong in /r/askseddit then sigh so keep it vague and about the theory.

you can't attack the boyfriend directly; what you need to do is actually whenever he comes up describe him as the ideal boyfriend. exaggerate franticly about how perfect he is. this will make her bring up the fact that he's not. ( if she actually insists that he's perfect multiple times she's way too cuckoo for him )

here you actually superficially defend the boyfriend but what you're doing is reframing the behaviour she tells you about to make him look insecure . you want to paint the portrait of a well-intentioned total AFC . the essence you build around : he does it because he is insecure, he does it because he knows he'll never get a girl like you again, he wants to buy your affection with, he's scared to lose you, he's jealous, you're the most important thing in his life,... all the crap AFC's do all the while you tell her what a "terrible" boyfriend you'd make because you would do the opposite of those nice things because you are a bad boy.
