"school", you mentioned it in one of your responses. So that mean young, aggressive and immature. That's about it.

You have to understand that people are not nice/kind and they try to find their own place in the world, just like you. They test the limits of their own power/possibilities and so can be both quite submissive to who ever they see as more powerful to get accepted and quite condescending to who ever they see as weak/outcast.

Older people are not necessarily better and it is typical for people of different social group to despise each other. But older means more polished, more experience, so they learned to at least not show it as much. They also learned that it is counter productive in practice so they more tend to be neutral and to just ignore people they are not interrested in.

It might be interresting for you to try and find a social group where you fit well where you'll be accepted and valued. You can also learn to not be too much dependent of others, be able to defend yourself and more generally to be effective in your social interractions. You may be "low value" to some group, but it doesn't mean that an absolute. It may also be the case too, and then it may be interresting to see if you can do something about it or not.

For example I got similar issue when young and not only with women, with everybody. I was kind of not so interrested in social things or sports, a bit of a nerd too. People were not kind. Today, I am a software engineer with quite some experience and it seems I am viewed as more effective than most. I evolve in the company to get higher and higher salary, I get the most interresting projects and overall in life I get all the respect I want... My social circle is mostly people with high level of education and it goes well. I have found my echossystem.

I've had this happen to me, they're bitches in the first place. I was smiling just being content for a rare time and a girl I wasn't even looking at changed her face to a frown. She was in my peripheral vision. Anotger time one asked if I was 16 and was rude to me as I was walking along with some friends.
