Honestly bro, it's hard figuring out girls who work for tips.

They understand very well that if they act flirty and friendly, they'll get more money from you.

But at any rate, the picture and letter thing seems kind of cute and if she reacts well to it then she probably likes you. I dunno, drawing someone a portrait seems kind of...I don't want to say intimate, but I guess "personal" is the better word for it and it's something that's really easy to screw up.

In every story the best advice is to just go for it. There's almost no chance of you seeming stalkery because most hairstyling places expect their patrons to ask if a certain stylist will be in. Just call and ask "Hey, I really liked blah blah blah, can you tell me if she's going to be in this week?

Then ask her out.

Don't wait until your next haircut. There's nothing wrong with showing your interest, as long as you are confident about it, it won't come off as creepy.

Also, the "I don't like being hit on at work" thing is bullshit, that's why you never ask girls for their advice in picking up girls. They may not "like" being hit on there, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't be receptive to it if someone did it right. Go in later this week at a non-busy time and ask for her, if she's not there just casually ask when she'll be in next.

When she's there, if she's with someone obviously wait until she's done. If she then says she's really busy just say you just need a couple minutes of her time. Tell her you didn't want to wait until your next haircut to come see her. Ask her how she liked the photo, but be prepared that she may not have seen it yet, people forget about things fast. If this is the case, don't worry about it, ask her out anyway.
