Me: Excuse me, green shirt!

(she turns around)

Me: Could you tell me where Pacsun is?

Her: Oh yeah it's right over..

Me: Honestly I just wanted to meet you because I thought you were cute what're you up to?

Shes receptive, we kind of just shoot the shit for a little bit, not really leading anywhere. I had good eye contact, tonality, open body language, was pretty comfortable overall. Then she says that she has to buy something for mothers day and has to go, I made the mistake of letting that happen and not at least trying for an instant date, so I get her number. I text her back right away...

Me: Hey this is zach, it was nice meeting you

Her: haha you too ya caught me off guard

Me: haha u did fine

Me: I'm only gonna be here another 4 or 5 days before going home for the summer, lets hangout tomorrow

Her: Ohh where do you live?

Me: (place - 8 hours away), wbu?

Her: Like 10 minutes from here in ____.. it's a small town lol

Me: Small town? U aren't a hick are u? U have a stuffed deer in your room, don't you?

Her: Well I do work on a farm but no I don't have a stuffed deer in my room lol I have shot and gut open one though

Me: Woah. You're a rugged mountain lady lol

(no response for half an hour)

Me: So whatre u doing tomorrow/wednesday?

And she never got back to me.

I definitely know of some things I could have done better, for example I didn't touch her at all, our conversation was kind of just flutter, random topics, I wasn't sexual at all, and there are probably more.

Overall though I'm glad about it. I had the balls to approach and it was a good, solid approach, my demeanor was confident, I wasn't in my head or trying to think of the right thing to say to get the right reaction, and I went for the number.

I could use some help though with this, though. Could anyone help point out any mistakes? I'm not totally sure where I went wrong, asides from the things I already mentioned could have been better.

I'm a bit confused about it but I'm not worried about it, I'm going to keep approaching and I'll get better with time.
