My suggestion is to read Models by Mark Manson. It'll help lots. Why don't you chat with the people you work with and go out some place with them? It seems like you could use some work on your internal talk. Stop telling yourself you're too shy and too nervous. and start looking at all the good things that can happen if you do chat them up. Make it a goal to just befriend the people at the salsa class, then go from there or greet them with a hey, and slowly build up. One step at a time :), I believe in you you can do it. Hell, you've done it before.
