End of freshman year in college, got the # of a girl next door to me in the dorms. Now what? Any advice would be great!!!

Text her a confirmation text of your number. I always use: "Hey ___! This is a very important number so be sure to store it with care. -Name"

Then see how she responds. Positively? Negatively? Poke around a little and end on a high note. Then just stop texting her. When you're outta town send maybe one or two playful texts to keep you in her mind.

Once you get back. Set up the date. Done.

edit: And text at a reasonable time. Don't text around late night 10pm. To me people appreciate a fun text during the day than at night. The sun naturally makes us in a better mood. That's why rainy days suck. No sun.

She has a legitimate excuse. Finals and moving out are extremely time consuming.

Here's what you do. In your two weeks out of town, text her every few days to keep you in her mind. Text her little funny things, ask her how she's doing, but keep it minimal. You don't want to be a clingy creeper. When you get back in town, you will have kept the channel of communication open and you can arrange a meet up.

Another thing: avoid oneitis. Wherever you are going, talk to girls there and get numbers and stuff. This will dramatically improve your game with this original girl. Good luck
