Mybestface doesn't work ... https://www.joshsway.com/articles/view/stop-using-okcupids-mybestface .. the boost feature is a better way to judge (but it cost $2) ... Lots of the other stuff in here is good though.

I have used mybestface but the sample size is very low so I don't know if you can really learn anything from it. You can be 'liked' versus a picture of someone's dog, or disliked versus a picture of some guy's car, and what does that mean? Nothing. Also sometimes when I use it, I wait for days and never get any notification, it's like it just vanished into thin air and I wasted my time.

And yeah, tinder is basically for 21-25 year old girls to have their pick of HG9-10 guys. Sorry to generalise, but honestly 95% of girls on there are in identical clothes in identical poses, thinking they are the next big instagram model, with 45 pictures of them hand-on-hip and duckfacing underneath 5 layers of shitty filters. Anyone who claims success on tinder has to be as good looking as an underwear model. I can get a few responses now and then on pof/okc etc, but it takes hundreds of swipes to get 1 match on tinder, and that's after testing combinations of pictures over several months.

Your guide is pretty accurate, really comes down to just not caring about it too much and supplementing real life with online stuff I think.
